Final days of editing

In the final days of editing we began adding our titles and chopping down our footage to meet the two minute marker.

To cut our footage down we saved the original length which was 2 minutes and 40 seconds and made a copy. We watched it back and did some edits, for example we decided to cut a whole shot out that we thought wasn't needed. We also cut some shots down that we thought were too long or didn't need to be there.

Once we did this, our sequence was at 2 minutes 8 seconds so we were able to get on with adding titles. A member from my group took charge for this task, meanwhile the others helped contribute name ideas which we made up.

Something we had to sort out was the song we wanted to use. Originally we wanted to use 'Uptown Girl' by Billy Joel but we realised it would get copyrighted. Whilst my group did the titles, I looked up songs which were in the public domain. This means the space where no intellectual property rights exist.

This was a hard task as we all had to agree on a song, so we looked up songs in the public domain. After looking through a number of websites we decided on a song we found on YouTube.
